Each donation is faith in action.

Soon after Faith In Action Outreach began, a group of ladies at First Baptist Church in Malakoff opened a clothing closet at the church to serve anyone who needed clothing free of charge.  This ministry soon outgrew one classroom and moved into three classrooms at the church.  In the meantime, FIAO moved into a larger facility, and shortly thereafter the two ministries combined.  Since August of 2011, we have given free clothing to 3,011 individuals.

The Clothing Closet works closely with the area school districts to provide "emergency clothing" for students at school.  And, whenever there is a needy student, the school counselors know they can call us for help at any time.

One goal for the Clothing Closet in 2014 is to begin a "mobile clothing give-away."  We plan to schedule days at various apartment complexes in our area where we can take all the clothing that is left over at the end of a season and offer it to anyone who wants it.  In this way we will reduce our need for storage and minister to those who might not be able to get to the Clothing Closet on their own.

Note:  We are currently not accepting clothing donations because we are doing our best to reduce the inventory of the clothing that has been so generously given to us.
